14 Hands is inspired by the untamed spirit of the wild horses that once freely roamed eastern Washington.Measuring a modest fourteen hands in height — a “hand” equivalent to the width of one’s palm — thesetenacious horses would travel down from the hills every day to drink from the mighty Columbia River andgraze along the riverbank, then retreat back to cool off at night.

Chef Scott Seddon's culinary career started early when, at the age of eight years old, he started creating his own recipes. This led to his first job cooking for weekend retreatants at a local monastery.

After graduating from Palm Beach State College and FAU, he embarked on a lifelong mission to learn new techniques and flavor profiles from around the world.

Over the last 18 years, Seddon has focused on new product development, sustainability initiatives, packaging, recipe ideation, and social media content creation. His recipes and brand building have enticed millions to eat healthy.

Chef Seddon is an active member of the Palm Beach County American Culinary Federation, working with the top chefs in South Florida on continuing education and charitable projects in the community. He enjoys mentoring at many local schools, teaching culinary students about incorporating Pero Family Farms' fresh vegetables into easy-to-make recipes. Seddon is the owner of a casual hot sauce company, Rincon Heat Sauce Co. LLC, and operates a catering business for select clients. He has been married to his wife Elizabeth for sixteen years, and their thirteen-year-old daughter enjoys cooking with her dad. In his downtime, he enjoys surfing, spearfishing, and travel.
