All classes are structured to be seated with other registered guests. Seating is first come, first serve.

Join in on the fun and this unique educational experience with Master Sommelier Michael Meagher. Enjoy a 4-course chef-inspired menu, expertly paired with a wine from Napa and Sonoma----side by side. Learn how these two wine growing regions, that are situated next to each other, can produce such different but similar wines.

What to expect.

This class is for adults 18 years of age and older only. No children allowed unless otherwise specified.

Wine is provided at most evening classes, but you must be 21 years of age or older to drink alcoholic beverages. Drink responsibly.

This is a demonstration-style cooking class. Sit back, relax, and let our chefs do the cooking. Enjoy all of our delicious menu items and ask questions as we walk you through each recipe.

Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. Cancellations must be made 72 hours in advance of the class for a refund. Full payment for all classes is required at time of registration. Price includes recipes, demonstration, and samples of the food prepared. Wine is provided at most evening classes. You must be 21 years of age or older to drink alcoholic beverages. Drink responsibly. Publix may cancel classes not meeting enrollment standards, in which case any payment remitted will be refunded. Publix reserves the right to change recipes or substitute instructors for any reason.

Michael Meagher is one of 269 Master Sommeliers in the world, and the principal of Sommelier On-Demand Hospitality Services. Michael has a rich depth of experience from around the globe that he shares with each bottle he opens and every glass he pours.

When the demands and hustle of managing some of Boston’s best wine programs wasn’t quite enough, Michael sought the challenges offered through a number of competitions. The competition circuit gave Michael additional exposure and global credibility and was subsequently recruited to join the handpicked luxury sales team at Treasury Wine Estates.

He has worked the entire route to market of some of the greatest wines from around the world. He has also been published in several publications and has enjoyed wine travel experiences across the globe.

During his downtime, Michael remains deeply rooted in Groton, Massachusetts with his family, and enjoys sports, being outdoors, woodworking, and a cold beer.
